Protecting Compliance, Performance and Operational Resilience
We don’t simply maintain electronic security systems. We maintain the protective security capability they were originally designed to deliver.
Maintaining an electronic security system is about far more than ensuring individual components remain operational.
At AQT Global, we believe security systems should continue to deliver the level of protection originally intended at design stage.
Whilst we undertake planned preventative maintenance in accordance with NSI Codes of Practice, relevant British Standards and manufacturer recommendations, our approach goes significantly further.
We also consider whether the complete security system continues to satisfy the Operational Requirement and wider regulatory obligations.
This provides our clients with confidence that their security infrastructure remains not only operational, but effective, proportionate and aligned with the evolving threat environment.
A Different Approach to Security Maintenance
Many maintenance providers focus on individual devices.
We focus on the performance of the complete protective security system.
Our engineers understand that replacing a faulty detector or repairing a camera is only part of the process. Every maintenance visit is an opportunity to assess whether the security measures continue to deliver the level of protection originally specified within the Operational Requirement.
Where changes in operational use, threat levels, technology or legislation are identified, we work with our clients to ensure the security strategy continues to support both operational resilience and regulatory compliance.

Beyond Planned Maintenance
For organisations operating within Critical National Infrastructure, maintaining security is about far more than servicing equipment.
It is about ensuring that every electronic security system continues to deliver the protective measures required to safeguard people, assets and essential services.
AQT Global therefore considers not only whether individual systems remain operational, but whether the overall protective security strategy continues to meet the objectives established through the Security Risk Assessment and Operational Requirement.
This integrated approach helps organisations demonstrate ongoing compliance during scrutiny by regulators, government bodies and independent auditors, whilst maintaining confidence that their security infrastructure continues to perform as intended.

Policy Statement
This policy applies to all persons working for or on behalf of AQT Global Ltd, in any capacity, including employees at every level, Directors, Officers, agency staff, seconded staff, volunteers, agents, contractors and suppliers.
AQT Global Ltd strictly prohibits modern slavery or human trafficking in our operations and supply chain. We have and will continue to be committed to implementing systems and controls aimed at ensuring that modern slavery is not taking place anywhere within our organisation or in any of our supply chain. In turn, we expect that our suppliers will hold their own suppliers to the same high ethical standards.
Commitments
Modern slavery is a term used to encompass slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour, bonded and child labour and human trafficking. Human trafficking is where a person arranges or facilitates the travel of another person or persons with a view that they will be exploited. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights.
We shall be a company that expects everyone working with us or on our behalf to support and uphold the following measures to safeguard against modern slavery:
- We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in our organisation and supply chain.
- The prevention, detection and reporting of modern slavery in any part of our organisation or supply chain is the responsibility of all those working for us or on our behalf. Workers must not engage in or facilitate or fail to report any activity that might lead to, or suggest a breach of this policy.
- We are committed to engaging with our stakeholders and suppliers to address the risk of modern slavery in our operations and supply chain.
- We take a risk-based approach to our contracting processes and keep them under regular review. We assess whether the circumstances warrant the inclusion of specific prohibitions against the use of modern slavery and trafficked labour in our contracts with third parties. Using our risk-based approach, we will also assess the merits of writing to suppliers, requiring them to comply with our Code of Conduct, which sets out the minimum standards required to combat modern slavery and trafficking.
- Consistent with our risk-based approach we may require:
- Employment and recruitment agencies and other third parties supplying workers to our organisation to confirm their compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- Suppliers engaging workers through a third party, to obtain that third parties’ agreement to adhere to the Code of Conduct.
- As part of our ongoing risk assessment and due diligence processes, we will consider whether circumstances warrant us carrying out audits of suppliers to ensure their compliance with our Code of Conduct.
- If we find that other individuals or organisations working on our behalf have breached this policy, we will ensure that appropriate action is taken. This may vary from consideration of allowing inadvertent breaches to be swiftly remediated, if this is likely to provide the best and most appropriate outcome for those individuals impacted by the breach to a more severe outcome such as termination of any or all business relationships.
Introduction
As accredited specialists in securing the Built Environment and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI), AQT Global is proud to present its inaugural Carbon Reduction Plan, completed in accordance with PPN 006 guidelines. Our adherence to the highest operational standards, including NSI Gold Accreditation, SABRE Accreditation, ISO 9001:2015 Certification, and Achilles Audited Status, mirrors our commitment to integrity and excellence in our sustainability efforts.
This comprehensive document details our decisive commitment to achieving Net Zero emissions across our operations and value chain by 2050. This goal is driven by the global imperative to limit warming to 1.5°C, making clear the necessity of reducing emissions by the middle of the century.
As a responsible business, this plan outlines the clear strategies we have put in place, starting with our baseline period (1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025). Our near-term target is to reduce our combined Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 15% by 2030. Our initial focus on fleet decarbonisation and sustainable procurement underpins our strategy, ensuring our progress is both ambitious and measurable. This plan is our first, but definitive, step on a clear roadmap towards a sustainable future.
Commitment to achieving Net Zero
The most recent report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), AR6, described the severe consequences of a failure to prevent global temperature rise below 1.5℃. The recently concluded COP26 made clear that to limit global warming at 1.5℃, carbon emissions need to halve by 2030 and drop to net zero by the middle of the century for the best chance to avoid the worst impacts of climate change.
As a responsible business AQT Global LTD is committed to become net-zero by 2050.
This report sets out a net-zero roadmap, detailing the strategies we have put in place to achieve this goal.
Scope Of Works
This document serves as a comprehensive overview of AQT Global’s carbon usage across the relevant scoping period.
To ensure clarity and provide a reliable year-on-year comparison, the periods covered by this report are:
- Baseline Period: 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025
- Reporting Period: 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025
For the most comparable analysis, we have adopted standardised average rates for energy consumption: £0.15 per kWh for all electricity use and £0.03 per kWh for gas use (unless otherwise specified). This value is inclusive of all administrative charges and any carbon used in our industrial processes (where applicable), offering a robust and best-in-class indicator of potential costs and savings outlined in this report.

Emissions Reduction Targets
AQT Global is committed to driving sustainable progress, not only through the governance, delivery, and security solutions we provide to protect the Built Environment and Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) but also by rigorously managing our own environmental impact. As this is our first Carbon Reduction Plan, we are committed to a science-based approach to emissions reduction, ensuring our targets are both ambitious and achievable. We align our goals with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) framework, which provides a clearly defined pathway for companies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in line with the latest climate science.
Baseline Emissions Data
Our greenhouse gas emissions baseline for the period 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025 totalled 48.77 tonnes of CO₂e.
Our most significant source of emissions is from Scope 1 (Delivery Vehicles Vans), which accounts for 21.22 tonnes of CO₂e (approximately 43.5% of the total). The combined baseline for Scopes 1 and 2 is 21.46 tonnes CO₂e.
Our Science-Based Targets
Our targets are structured to deliver meaningful emissions cuts in the immediate future while maintaining a clear vision for full decarbonisation.
Near-Term Target (2030)
- Target: Reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 15% by 2030 from our 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025 base year (21.46 tonnes CO₂e).
- Alignment: This target is consistent with a 1.5°C pathway, demonstrating our commitment to significant short-term reductions, specifically by transitioning our delivery vehicle fleet and improving energy efficiency across our operations.
Long-Term Target (2050)
- Target: Achieve Net Zero emissions across all scopes (1, 2, and 3) by 2050.
- Alignment: This long-term commitment signifies our dedication to a sustainable future and the full decarbonisation of our operations and value chain, in line with the most ambitious global climate goals.
We will continuously review and update these targets annually to ensure they remain ambitious, aligned with the latest climate science, and our operational realities. This allows for flexibility to refine our targets as our capabilities and opportunities evolve.
Carbon Reduction Initiatives
To support our science-based targets and drive meaningful decarbonisation, AQT Global is implementing a comprehensive set of carbon reduction initiatives. These efforts span our core operations, fleet management, and supply chain—each underpinned by measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and aligned to our 2030 (Near-Term) and 2050 (Long-Term) climate goals.
1. Decarbonisation of Company Fleet (Scope 1 Focus)
Given that Scope 1 (Delivery Vehicles Vans) constitutes the overwhelming majority of our baseline emissions for Scopes 1 and 2 (21.22 tonnes CO₂e), immediate and focused action on fleet decarbonisation is critical to achieving our 15% near-term target.
Key Actions:
- Implement a Low/Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Transition Plan: Systematically replace diesel/petrol vans with Electric Vehicles (EVs) or high-efficiency alternatives, prioritising high-mileage vehicles first.
- Optimise Route Planning and Driving: Deploy GPS tracking and route optimisation software to reduce unnecessary mileage and improve fuel efficiency across the entire fleet.
- Invest in Charging Infrastructure: Install dedicated EV charging points at key operational depots and partner locations to support the fleet transition.
KPIs:
- 10% of total fleet switched to Low/Zero Emission Vehicles by the end of 2026.
- Achieve a 5% year-on-year reduction in average fleet fuel consumption (L/100km) through route optimisation and driver training.
- 100% of new vehicle leases/purchases include an EV or hybrid option from 2025 onwards.
2. Sustainable Supply Chain and Purchased Services (Scope 3 Focus)
A significant portion of our emissions is generated upstream in our value chain (Scope 3, which totals 27.31 tonnes CO₂e), particularly from professional services and business travel required for securing the CNI and Built Environment. We will focus on improving transparency and driving change with our primary suppliers and partners.
Key Actions:
- Supplier Emissions Engagement: Engage the top 80% of material Scope 3 suppliers (by spend/emissions) to secure their commitment to setting Science Based Targets (SBTs) by 2027.
- Sustainable Sourcing Criteria: Integrate environmental performance (e.g., supplier’s own carbon footprint and transport methodologies) as a key criterion in all new strategic service and equipment procurement contracts from 2026.
- Travel Reduction Policy: Introduce a ‘Travel Hierarchy’ policy that mandates rail travel over domestic flights and prioritises virtual meetings to minimise the impact of Business Travel - Land (which is the largest Scope 3 contributor at 14.18 tCO₂e).
KPIs:
- 70% of material Scope 3 supplier emissions covered by SBTi targets by 2030.
- Achieve a 10% absolute reduction in Business Travel - Land emissions by the end of 2027.
- 100% of new strategic service contracts include verifiable carbon disclosure requirements by 2026.
3. Monitoring, Training, and Data Reporting
Robust data collection and employee engagement are foundational to driving cultural change and ensuring accurate progress tracking against all targets.
Monitoring and Reporting
Robust and transparent emissions tracking will underpin our carbon reduction journey. We will strengthen our data collection, reporting, and verification processes to align with global standards.
Key Actions:
- Deploy a carbon data platform across all operational entities by Q1 2026 to track fleet fuel usage, electricity consumption, and material purchases centrally.
- Conduct annual GHG inventories using the GHG Protocol (Scopes 1, 2, and all material Scope 3 categories).
- Align disclosures with CDP and future Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
KPIs:
- 100% of Scope 1, 2, and material Scope 3 emissions reported annually from 2026.
- First external limited assurance of GHG data by 2027.
- Annual publication of progress towards near- and long-term targets.
Employee Training and Engagement
We recognise that our workforce plays a vital role in achieving our sustainability objectives, particularly our service engineers who operate the fleet. AQT Global will implement a targeted training programme.
Key Actions:
- Implement mandatory ‘Eco-Driving’ training for all fleet drivers to maximise fuel/energy efficiency and safety.
- Launch an internal communications campaign to promote waste reduction and energy-saving behaviours across all office.
Methodology used in the calculation of disclosures
For carbon only related matters, the SECR methodology as specified in “Environmental reporting guidelines: including Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting and greenhouse gas reporting (GHG)” was used in conjunction with Government GHG reporting conversion factors.
